DERBYSHIRE FOOD AND DRINK AWARDS FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
Restaurants, pubs and cafes across Derbyshire have been shortlisted for the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards. Now judges from the AA and Quality in Tourism assessors will make mystery visits to each of the 21 shortlisted venues.
The shortlisted restaurants are:
- Fisher’s - Baslow
- Buckinghams - Chesterfield
- Old Hall Hotel - Buxton
- Mileburne Restaurant – Melbourne
- East Lodge Restaurant – Rowsley
- The Dining Room – Ashbourne
The shorlisted pub/bistros are:
- The Royal Oak – Buxton
- Ladybower Inn – Bamford
- The Holly Bush – Church Broughton
- The Yorkshire Bridge Inn – Bamford
- The Devonshire Arms – Beeley
- Chequers Inn – Calver
The shortlisted tea rooms/ coffee houses are:
- In a Pickle – Chapel-en-le-Frith
- No 6 The Square – Buxton
- Gallery Café – Ashbourne
- Cavendish Rooms – Chatsworth
- Croots Farm Shop – Duffield
The shortlisted international restaurants are:
- Siam Corner Thai Village – Chesterfield
- Siam Corner Thai Restaurant – Derby
- Il Portico – Chesterfield
- Le Mistral – Wirksworth
The short-list for the Local Food Hero Category:
- John Jaquest of ‘Jaquest Food Specialists’, Bolsover
- Andre Birkett of ‘Chatsworth Farm Shop’, Pilsley
- Graham & Janette Browett of ‘The Black Swan’, Crich
- Max Fischer of ‘Fischer’s’, Baslow
- Robin Maycock of ‘Maycock’s Family Butchers’, Holloway
- Nikki Bradshaw, ‘The National Trust’ at Kedleston Hall
