ARCHIVE : THE 2009 DERBYSHIRE FOOD & DRINK AWARDS
If you run a food or drink business we’re urging you to get your entries in for our prestigious Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards. The deadline for entries is 25th July 2009.
Derbyshire County Council are organising the awards for the eighth year running to promote catering business serving locally sourced food and promoting it on
their menus.
Celebrity TV chef Brian Turner will continue his endorsement of the 2009 food and drink initiatives by presenting the awards at the glitzy ceremony at Thornbridge Hall, Ashford-in-the-Water, on Thursday 15 October.
The categories include restaurant of the year, pub/bistro of the year, Derbyshire food hero 2009, best international restaurant and coffee house/tearoom.
There’s also a new category for emerging talent within the industry, Derbyshire Master-Chef 2009 which is being run in association with Bennetts.
The awards follow on from our successful Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair and Derbyshire Food Festival in May. More than 11,000 people attended the Food Fair at Bolsover Castle on 16-17 May.
All entries for the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards should be in by 25 July and businesses who have not received an application form in the post should contact Steph Walsh at Derbyshire County Council on 01629 585964 or download the application form here : 2009 Derbyshire Food & Drink Awards Application.
There is additional critera for those wishing to enter for either the Local Food Hero or Master Chef categories. Further information can be downloaded here:
