Welcome to the 2009 Derbyshire Food Festival website, which I’m sure will whet your appetite and inspire you to sample some of the treats available around the county.

The Derbyshire Food & Drink Industry is thriving and has lots of superb high quality local produce on offer.  It’s very important to be able to showcase local producers and suppliers as well as highlighting the best eateries for locals and visitors alike. Using local, seasonal produce benefits us all. Not only are we assured of the freshest ingredients but we get the satisfaction of knowing that we are boosting the local economy and reducing food miles, which makes us all winners.

The 2009 Derbyshire Food Festival certainly promises to be the best yet with more venues than ever participating, providing special offers and one-off events throughout festival week 16-25th May 2009. The festival now in its fourth year, is an excellent showcase for producers and eateries alike and I’m sure anyone visiting one of the participating establishments, locals or visitors to the county won’t be disappointed.
