DERBYSHIRE FOOD AND DRINK FAIR SET TO MOVE
Derbyshire County Council’s prestigious Food and Drink Fair is set to move to Kedleston Hall, Kedleston, near Derby.
The council’s cabinet will consider a report on Tuesday 15 September which recommends moving the fair, which has been held at Bolsover Castle for the past eight years.
Derbyshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Councillor Simon Spencer, said “I’m keen to see the fair move around the county and we’ll be looking to do this over the next few years. We have a wealth of interesting and historic venues that we can consider and I’m sure that if Cabinet agree to hold the 2010 fair at Kedleston Hall that it will prove to be a fantastic event.”
“There are benefits to the local area during the Food and Drink Fair, and I want to make sure that these are shared out around the county.”
