ARCHIVE : GIVE YOUR BUSINESS A BOOST AT CULINARY EVENT Food and drink businesses are being encouraged to snap up a stall at one of Derbyshire's top culinary events. Last year’s event attracted in the region of 10,000 visitors and gave local producers and suppliers the chance to promote their goods and highlight their business to local people and tourists. And the county council is looking for sponsors to back the event – which next year will celebrate it’s 10th anniversary. Derbyshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration Councillor Simon Spencer said: “This is a huge event which is now firmly on Derbyshire’s culinary calendar. Marquees will house stalls selling a host of different food and drink together with cookery demonstrations from celebrity chefs including Simon Rimmer, resident chef on BBC 2’s Something for the Weekend and Dean Edwards from ITV’s Daybreak. There will also be a wealth of entertainment for the whole family including live music, competitions, face painting, arts and crafts.
